Another green spot from Dot Dot Dot
Dot Dot Dot HQ is very excited to announce that Capital Clean Up have decided to give us a grant to help us continue our gardening project at Robin Hood Gardens. This means that we will soon be up to our ears in gardening gear and compost and on the look-out for willing volunteers!
With about 5 seconds to choose a name, Another Green Spot from Dot Dot Dot sprang to mind and is now immortalised forever on the grant form. We are very excited about this project and to be committing to making London a lovelier place to live, one green spot at a time. We will be working with our Guardians, Sister Christine (of St Mattias Community Centre fame), local residents and anyone who wants to get involved to spruce up our local communities, starting with Robin Hood Gardens in Poplar.
With a promise of seeds and plants from Tower Hamlets Council, compost from Mudchute City Farm and elbow grease from our Guardians and GoodGym, this is looking to be a pretty satisfying project.
Keep your eyes peeled for ways you can be involved – volunteering opportunities will be posted on Team London and Project Dirt.
Lets go!
