Providing property peace of mind for Shepherds Bush Housing Group in Uxbridge
In 2019, we brought property guardianship to the London Borough of Hillingdon. Through our partnership with Shepherds Bush Housing Group, whose mission it is to provide safe, affordable homes across west London, we continue to secure 14 flats in Uxbridge. Since the project began, these properties have provided low-cost housing for 31 guardians who volunteer for good causes in the area.

We started working with London Borough of Croydon in 2017, when we took on a former school-turned-NHS building in west Croydon. Looking back over our four-year relationship, we explore how a renewed sense of purpose during a property’s transition phase can lay the groundwork for its new use.

All handbacks great and small: achieving vacant possession
In this month’s blog, we discuss the process of achieving vacant possession, and take a look at some of our most recent handbacks in Shoreham-by-Sea, Lewisham and Whitechapel. Although diverse in size and type, the process we follow to mitigate risks, review our processes and achieve vacant possession is the same, and each project is awarded the same care and attention to detail that we demonstrate throughout our work.

Providing reassurance to residents in Shoreham-by-Sea
We added another seaside location to our portfolio in December 2020 when we partnered with Southern Housing in Shoreham-by-Sea. In this case study, we discuss how we were able to work closely with Southern to secure an estate with increasingly at risk residents.

Bringing a youth club back into use with London Borough of Lewisham and Grove Park Youth Club Building Preservation Trust
In 2018, 52 years after the youth centre first opened, we partnered with London Borough of Lewisham and Grove Park Youth Club Building Preservation Trust (BPT) to secure the building with property guardians and bring the youth club back into use. With the property now handed back to Lewisham council in its newly restored condition, the Grove Park Youth Club will reopen its doors to the community on 26th July 2021 for the first time in eight years.
