19 June 2013 | Volunteering | Back to Blog

Hi all,

Just thought it is time to introduce myself and say hello…

I’ve been a guardian for 2 months now,  after moving back from Canada where I had lived for 13 years. I’m loving every minute of it and it’s such a great group of people! Currently I’m volunteering over in Acton, with Acton Community Forum for their W3 gallery. Somehow I’ve ended up producing and editing a monthly newsletter for the gallery,  which they didn’t have before. But I guess that’s the thing with voluntary work. You never know what you might be doing and just have to follow your heart! It is a great experience.

I’m also waiting for the application process for Age UK to finish,  and then I’ll be volunteering nearer to home as well,  as an inter-generational technology ‘tutor’. Which is kind of funny as I’m no spring chicken myself 🙂

That’s one of the many great things about Dot Dot Dot; it doesn’t matter what your age is,  we all have something to offer!
