Pumpkins and wine

Last night saw Dot Dot Dot’s guardians get creative with pumpkins at our Halloween themed party at the new Emmaus shop in Poplar. There were the usual scary faces, shocked faces and even a sad face – one of our guardians even managed to carve the Emmaus logo into a pumpkin!

IMG_2294We like to throw a party every couple of months with our guardians and supporters so that people can catch up and hear about each others volunteering, and mainly just to eat some food and drink some wine. Last night was no exception and it was also amazing to host the party within the halls of such a great organisation. Emmaus are a charity helping homeless people across the country by providing shelter, work and a sense of belonging and they have recently started working in Poplar in east London so we thought it would be a great opportunity to shout about it.

Take a look at some of the carving in action, and many thanks to Emmaus for letting us use their space for the party. Till next time!
