The Inside Track on Dot Dot Dot

Our founder, Katharine Hibbert, was recently interviewed on BBC Business Live about England’s housing crisis and Dot Dot Dot’s approach to preventing buildings from lying empty, providing an affordable housing solution and supporting communities.

Katharine discussed how at Dot Dot Dot we are aiming to improve the availability of affordable housing in England. We currently house hundreds of guardians across the country, from London to the south and north of England. Our buildings include flats, office blocks, pubs, shared houses and community buildings, which we transform into great places to live. Find out more about our properties here.

Not only do we provide affordable accommodation, we also help property owners to secure buildings that would otherwise be empty. By housing great people in these properties it saves owners from paying high security costs, business rates and council tax, and prevents the building being vandalised, becoming derelict, or a target for antisocial behaviour. We offer vacant property protection at a better value than other security options, whilst creating a positive social impact.

We’re a different kind of property guardian company with a focus on social value. All our guardians volunteer for 16 hours a month for a charitable cause of their choice. Check out our volunteering blogs to find out about the range of local and national volunteering our guardians get involved with.
