Organiclea is a workers’ cooperative growing food on London’s edge in the Lea Valley. They are looking for several different kinds of volunteers. They hold volunteer days at Hawkwood Community Plant Nursery on the last Sunday of each month 12pm – 4pm. Just show up and join in.
Regular volunteer days at Hawkwood are Wednesdays and Fridays 11am-4pm, and Tuesday afternoons 1.30-4pm. New volunteers are asked to join a volunteer induction, these usually take place on the 1st Wednesday and 3rd Friday of every month.
Volunteer induction dates for Spring 2015 are:

2.RNLI needs a Volunteer Fundraising Administrator
Where: Mostly home based, but travel to meetings in central London.
When: Closing date for applications is 22 Feb 2015.

RNLI is looking for a motivated individual who would like to join the RNLI as a Volunteer Fundraising Administrator for our Central London Committee. This is a fantastic volunteer opportunity for someone who is interested in building a career in fundraising, volunteer management or events management. This role will be home based although travel to committee meetings, events and ad-hoc meetings with the treasurer may be necessary.

3.Prisoners’ Advice Service (PAS)

The Prisoners’ Advice Service is the only independent registered charity offering free legal advice and support to adult prisoners in England and Wales. They do this through their telephone advice line, letters clinic and legal outreach sessions, as well as providing information within the sector.

4.Tower of London learning and engagement volunteers
Where: Tower of London, Tower Bridge.
When: Interviews on 3rd March – application to be submitted before then.
Commitment Level: Flexible – but the hours are in school hours.

The Tower of London is looking for enthusiastic and friendly people to support the Learning & Engagement team.

5.SANE Services Volunteers
When: Ongoing – contact them for training intakes.
Where: Near Aldgate East tube station
Level of Commitment: One 4-hour shift per week; including one weekend in four

They have a rolling programme of recruitment and in depth training for this role. They are also looking for the following volunteers.
* Database Volunteers: Checking and updating information on the SANE Information Database (SID) which contains valuable information about mental health support services throughout the country.
* Volunteer Service Users/Carers: Using your own experience either as a mental health service user or a carer, you can support our training of SANE Services volunteers by sharing your vital lived experience.
