Volunteers needed for vibrant drama festival
Where: Tower Hamlets
When: November 2014
Tower Hamlets Council is looking for a team of enthusiastic volunteers of all ages to work with the council’s Arts and Events team to deliver a unique theatre festival in November.

Sunday Best
Where: Brownfield Cabin, Balfron Tower, Poplar 

When: Sunday, 31st August
Poplar Harca are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help out with their Sunday Best event on Sunday the 31st August. There will be lots of opportunities to meet the community and there’s free food for volunteers.

Volunteers are needed for helping with:
– Children’s making their own pizzas
– Firing the Pizza Oven
– Setting up the sound system
– Leaflet Drops
– General help on the day
– Judging
– DJ’s
– Photography (support)
– Social Media

Chrisp Street Festival
Where: Chrisp Street, Poplar

When: Sunday, 7th September
The Chrisp Street Festival on Sunday the 7th Sept will turn Chrisp Street Market into a seaside town for the day, with beach sports, pier fun and games and live music.

Spotlight are looking for volunteers for a few hours any time between 8.00am – 9.00pm to help run the Festival. There’s a range of things you could help with – setting up stalls, decorating the space, running activities, stewarding, looking after stage acts and generally helping festival revellers to have a great time.

Volunteer Accountant for Body Gossip
Where: East London

When: Start ASAP
Body Gossip, a positive body image charity, is seeking an accountant to work with them on their first year as a registered charity – and to help them look ahead to the future with fundraising and increasing their charitable output.

Body Gossip campaigns through education and the arts to promote self-esteem and body confidence across the UK. In 2012, Body Gossip was named the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Campaign of 2012.

An Inclusive Future
Where: Across London

When: Throughout the year
An Inclusive Future is a leadership and volunteering initiative for young people, with special emphasis on inclusion. To keep the Spirit of 2012 alive, the programme is designed to give young people with and without disabilities the opportunity to volunteer at major sporting occasions local to them.
