#VolunteersWeek

We’re taking the opportunity to celebrate Volunteers’ Week and thank our guardians who give up their time to make a difference in communities. All our guardians volunteer for 16 hours a month for a charitable cause of their choice, and we want to recognise all that they achieve through this.

Over the next week we will be sharing some great volunteering stories on our Facebook and Twitter pages, so keep an eye out on these to find out more about what our guardians get up to as part of their volunteering aspect of Dot Dot Dot guardianship.

There are a diverse range of charities and community schemes that have benefited from our guardians volunteering; from charity shops, Good Gym, homeless shelters, and city farms, to setting up their own charities, our guardians really do get involved in a whole range of things.

In 2017, the total number of volunteering hours for all Dot Dot Dot guardians amounted to 49,408. That’s equivalent to more than 267 full time weeks of work!

And since Dot Dot Dot started the total volunteering hours for all guardians is 135,015!

We love to show off the great work our guardians are doing, so we will be sharing lots on social media over the next week in recognition of the important contribution our guardians make to the community.
