If you have any questions about this, you can find out more about what it means to be a Dot Dot Dot guardian in the ‘What is different about Dot Dot Dot’ section on our website via the link at the top of this page.

At Dot Dot Dot, we don’t allow anyone under 18 to live in our properties. Property guardians need to be ready to move house with 28 days’ notice whenever a property owner would like their building back, and this is much harder for children who need continuity and access to the same schools, nurseries, GPs etc than it is for flexible, independent adults.

At Dot Dot Dot we love all creatures great and small, however, as building security is paramount as part of a property guardianship, we feel that our properties are unsuitable for pets, and as such we do not allow pets in our properties under any circumstances.

As Dot Dot Dot guardians are licence holders not tenants, you can be asked to move on with 28 days’ notice from the property. This could be because Dot Dot Dot needs to hand back a property to its owner or for other reasons related to our property and contract management.

If you are matched with a property, you will need to pay a one-off refundable security payment (equivalent of five weeks' fees) plus the monthly licence fee that can range between £300 and £900. Depending on the property, you may also need to budget for your share of the bills and council tax. Monthly licence fees vary for every property and are clearly advertised on our website.
