Outdoor space

Close to town, enjoy taking a stroll in Broadway Gardens with its impressive fountain or visit Howard Park and Garden, created over 100 years ago as a central feature of the world’s first garden city. You also won’t want to miss the woodlands of Norton Common, a large local nature reserve perfect for stretching your legs on rambling weekend walks – you might even spot some deer along the way.

The local area

Check out The Bakehouse for cosy coffees and cakes, and delicious vegan restaurant, Vutie Beets.  The heated pool at Letchworth Lido, open early morning until 6.30pm, is perfect for outdoor swimming on chillier days. Or, take your bike and explore one of the many cycle trails the town has to offer.

Broadway Cinema and Theatre is a restored Art Deco building from the 1930s and just two minutes from where you’ll be living. As well as movies, the venue showcases arts, craft and design from internationally renowned artists and emerging local talent.

Volunteering opportunities

Making a difference to the local and wider community is what we’re all about, and Dot Dot Dot guardians volunteer at least 16 hours every month for good causes. In Letchworth, check out Love Letchworth, if you’re interested in helping to keep the town centre a vibrant place for both residents and visitors. Or, visit the Best Before Cafe, run by volunteers that rescue surplus or unsold supermarket food from landfill.

There’s so many benefits to being a guardian with Dot Dot Dot: it’s easy on the pocket, you get to decorate how you like, and you’re part of a community that cares about leaving the world a better place."

Licence fee review

Dot Dot Dot undertakes a licence fee review every twelve months. Broadly, any increases will be based on the rate of inflation at the time of review, but they will also take into account any specific changes in our costs or in the local market. We also look at changes to council tax rates and utilities. Current guardians will be given at least two month’s notice before their licence fees change and new guardians will not face changes for at least six months.
