The Abbey Wood area, in south east London, is close to Greenwich and Bexley, and within a 10 minute walk of several parks. Plumstead and Woolwich high streets are a short bus ride away, and there are also convenient connections on the Elizabeth line to central London within 25 minutes from Abbey Wood train station. We have a variety of 2-bed, 2.5-bed, 3-bed and 4-bed townhouses, as well as en-suite double rooms in a large 4-bed townhouse.

The properties

Spaces: Our townhouses are of varying sizes and some are comprised of one double bedroom and three singles, others, of one double bedroom and two singles. We also have one 4-bed townhouse which consists of four large en-suite bedrooms and a shared kitchen on the ground floor.

Outdoor space: Some of the townhouses have private gardens and balconies at the back of the properties, while many also have green space at the front – perfect for enjoying your morning coffee and breakfast.

Parking: There are many on street parking spots available, however, a permit is required.

Parks and nature reserves

The area is leafy and you will find a spacious green under five minutes away from the properties. The wide open spaces of Southmere Park are a short 10 minute stroll, and within half an hour’s walk you can reach Crossness Nature Reserve.

If you head in the opposite direction, a walk through Lesnes Abbey Woods Local Nature Reserve will leave you feeling far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Its many woodlands and nature trails are perfect  for enjoying the warmer months ahead. Here you can also visit the remains of Lesnes Abbey, a former cathedral.

Local shops and services

Within 10 minutes’ walk you’ll reach a large Lidl and Sainsbury’s, as well as Thamesmead Gym, Abbey Wood surgery and dental clinics, a chemist and Thamesmead Library. The area is well served by regular bus links towards Plumstead and Woolwich, reached within 15-30 minutes. These bustling high streets are lined with bakeries, coffee shops and restaurants.

Top picks are The Taproom just off Station Way, Woolwich, offering craft ales and stone baked pizzas; Fusion Woolwich for fresh Chinese food made to order; French artisan bakery and patisserie, Boulangerie Jade on Major Draper Street and Dial Arch, a lovingly restored 18th century armoury now serving craft ales and gastro bites.

Around Powis Street you’ll find a TK Maxx;  Primark; Argos; Specsavers; Sabina Hair & Cosmetics; Holland & Barrett; Poundland; Savers Health & Beauty and H&S Halal Meat Market. There is also Santander; Lloyds; Natwest and Halifax.

In and around Plumstead High Street you can access a Screwfix; Iceland Foods; GM Garden centre; Ghosia Mosque and Greenwich Hindu Temple.
