The properties

Spaces: The maisonettes are set over two floors, giving them a London townhouse feel. Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms and a bathroom, plus an extra room to be used for storage, as a home-office or just as an extra chill-out room. Downstairs, you can find a kitchen as well as a spacious open-plan living and dining room.

Features and facilities: With large windows, the maisonettes benefits from plenty of natural light both upstairs and down. Many have wooden floors, which give the spaces character, and some have gardens at the back, perfect for enjoying the warmer weather in your own private green space in the city.

Parking: There are many on-street parking spots available however a parking permit is required.

Parks and countryside

The property is just five minutes’ walk from Keir Hardie recreation ground, a spacious park and garden to enjoy on warmer weekends. Limmo Peninsula Ecological Park is one mile away, and can be reached by taking a scenic stroll along the River Lea via Canning Town station. You are also within easy reach of Star Lane Park and Canning Town recreation ground.

We are collaborating with partner organisations in Newham in order to help Canning Town to become an ever more dynamic and thriving place for living and working. We house guardians who are keen to commit to the local area as a place to live, work and volunteer.

Our guardians living in Newham are key contributors to a project which spans the whole neighbourhood, through participating in community engagement activities, sharing their skills via volunteering and as potential customers for new work and retail activities in the area.

  • Dementia Cafe Group: Dementia/Memory cafés provide an opportunity for people with dementia, family members and carers to meet regularly and talk about living with dementia, in an informal social environment and ask questions of professionals. Support volunteers get involved in all aspects of it are vital to the smooth running of cafe.
  • Celia Hammond Animal Trust: There are a range of volunteering opportunities on offer - feeding and cleaning animals, fundraising, fostering animals, home visiting, leaflet & poster design, and transporting animals. They are seeking regular, reliable volunteers to assist with caring for rescued cats.

  • Monthly licence fee: £700pcm sole occupancy / £400pcm per guardian sharers’ fee
  • Refundable security payment (equivalent of five weeks’ fees): £808 for sole occupancy / £462 per person for sharers
  • Fees include council tax but exclude all other bills
  • No hidden costs, service charges or admin fees

Dot Dot Dot will undertake a review of our licence fees every twelve months. This includes council tax and utilities, where they are included in the monthly licence fee. In such instances, any increases in council tax and utilities will be passed onto our guardians.
