Only a three minute walk from the rooms in Norbury, the high street is packed with delicious restaurants and Sunday morning coffee spots. Affogato serves a mean brunch. ChaaatPatta will become your new favourite Indian takeaway. Further up the road towards Streatham lies Alice in Wonderland themed pub, The Rabbit Hole.

Iceland is your closest supermarket, only a three minute walk from the communal property. A ten minute walk away, Lidl is also close by.

There are plenty of gyms and other ways to stay fit in the area. Nuffield Health Centre has a pool, sauna and runs a huge range of exercise classes. Or, join amateur boxing classes at the Croydon Amateur Boxing Club in nearby Norbury Park.

Arts and leisure

A 20 minute walk past Norbury Park and over Norbury brook will take you to Norwood Grove where you can visit the White House, an early 19th century building, and the decorative Rookery Gardens. The Horniman Museum and Gardens is another great, free day out. You can visit their butterfly garden or explore different cultures throughout time at their anthropology exhibitions.

Brixton, a hub of food, music and culture, is only 30 minutes away by bus. You’ll be close to busy breweries and renowned music venues. We’d recommend catching a film at the famous Ritzy Cinema and visiting Pop Brixton – a creative space where you can try lots of different food and catch some live music.

Mitcham Common is a nature conservation and another vast green space close to our spacious rooms in Norbury. With long walks through woodland it’s the perfect place to spot wildlife and escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
