A new partnership, built on trusted relationships

A new partnership is taking us to Paddington, where we’re working with Housing for Women to put empty homes to good use.

Housing for Women is a housing provider and charity with a long history of supporting women in London, including women who have experienced domestic abuse and other forms of disadvantage. It makes this a particularly good fit for Dot Dot Dot’s people-first approach to property guardianship.

Our work together also builds on our experience with women-focused housing providers, including Women’s Pioneer Housing, and on the compliance, inspection and property management systems we’ve developed over 15 years of property guardianship.

Now in Paddington, we’re providing temporary homes for women guardians while helping Housing for Women manage its empty properties safely and flexibly. From carefully recruiting and supporting guardians to regular inspections, repairs and day-to-day management, our team takes care of the whole guardianship process.

There’s a nice connection behind the partnership, too. We first worked with Mairead Lynch during her time at Brent Council, where we’ve managed empty homes in South Kilburn since 2021. Now Head of Housing Operations at Housing for Women, we’re delighted to be working together again.

It’s a great example of the value of long-term relationships in housing – and how trust built through one partnership can open the door to another.

Having worked with Dot Dot Dot previously, I knew the team brought a thoughtful and professional approach to property guardianship, with strong systems for looking after both properties and guardians. When the opportunity arose at Housing for Women, it felt like a natural partnership and a good way to make positive use of empty homes while they await their next chapter."
