Dot Dot Dot Property partner with RHP Group
Dot Dot Dot is thrilled to announce our new collaboration with RHP Group in Ham, Richmond. Following a competitive process in 2023, we were awarded a contract to provide responsible property guardians during a lengthy period of housing regeneration.
The South-West London housing provider is currently transforming Ham Close and will deliver quality homes to support residents in the area. Following extensive consultation with the local community, the new estate is designed to include green spaces, playgrounds, community facilities, and local employment opportunities
Dot Dot Dot will work closely with RHP to secure vacant flats with property guardians who will serve as friendly neighbours to residents still living on the estate. By temporarily occupying flats that would otherwise remain empty, our guardians help prevent buildings from falling into disuse, provide an economic boost to local services, and reduce the likelihood of anti-social behaviour.
In Dot Dot Dot, RHP has found a partner that mirrors its mission to offer safe, secure homes, opening the door to life opportunities for its residents. All Dot Dot Dot guardians volunteer for 16 hours per month for good causes. They could support community-focused organisations in Ham or help keep the nearby nature reserve litter-free. Our guardians come from a variety of backgrounds but are united by a desire to make a difference. Since we were founded in 2011, over 2,000 guardians have collectively volunteered time worth £6 million to good causes.
We believe that people who volunteer for good causes make excellent property guardians. They are socially minded and conscientious neighbours within their communities, and they carefully look after the spaces they live in.
On their decision to appoint Dot Dot Dot, Katie Collins, Head of Development at RHP, says: “We’re excited to be partnering with Dot Dot Dot as part of a regeneration project in Richmond. Their commitment to social impact and volunteering perfectly aligns with our vision of being a community-connected housing provider.
We trust them to not only safeguard our homes but also to contribute to the sense of community and purpose, making a lasting difference in the areas where we operate.”
Dot Dot Dot’s Chief Executive, Mark Ackroyd reflects: “We’re delighted to be working with RHP in Ham. We have the most positive impact in places where our guardians are living alongside existing residents. The people we house give so much back to the communities they live in, both through volunteering and by being friendly, reassuring neighbours. By working with RHP, we can be a force for good in the local area. We’re excited to be starting the project, and we’re looking forward to housing great guardians.”
