Everyone at Dot Dot Dot would like to thank our outgoing Chief Executive, Peter Brown, for his five years of leadership of our social enterprise. He is standing down, and our current Director of Services, Mark Ackroyd, is stepping into the role.
Peter joined Dot Dot Dot as Head of Business Development in 2014, and was promoted to Chief Executive in 2016. After making a substantial contribution for many years, he has decided to move on to explore new challenges and opportunities, after first taking some time out with his family, having recently adopted two young sons.
He will leave on Friday 12th November, and will be succeeded by Mark who has led the Services team since 2017, overseeing the management of all our guardians and buildings.
Founder and Executive Chair Katharine Hibbert said: “I’d like to thank Peter for all of his work at Dot Dot Dot since he joined in 2014, particularly during his tenure as Chief Executive since 2016. During the seven and a half years that Peter has been at Dot Dot Dot, we have grown from an embryonic social enterprise to a substantial organisation which houses hundreds of people across England, works with some of the country’s largest landlords and property owners, and supports thousands of hours of voluntary work every month. Peter’s professionalism, skill and commitment to Dot Dot Dot’s mission and values has been key to that success.
“It has been a pleasure to work together, and I’ve learned a lot from him. All of us at Dot Dot Dot wish him every success for the future.
“I am also excited about Dot Dot Dot’s future with Mark as our new Chief Executive. The board and I were delighted to appoint him – we are fortunate to have strength in depth in our team, and I look forward to working with Mark to shape the years to come.”
Peter Brown said: “Dot Dot Dot’s mission is to provide housing for people who want to volunteer their time for good causes. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside a great team to bring this mission to life in more areas and increase our impact. Combining the team’s professionalism and values with Dot Dot Dot’s careful, conscientious guardians has meant we’ve been able to do some great work. I’m proud of the work we have done for our clients and in and around the communities where we operate.”
Mark Ackroyd said: “It has been a privilege to be part of Dot Dot Dot’s evolution under Peter’s leadership. We have a great team, and our mission has never been more important. I am proud to lead Dot Dot Dot in the next stage of its journey.”
